To the Ghosts of Glen Coe
Sleep, you brave, you innocent,
you warriors and women strong.
Dread William's days are now all spent,
and memory is long.
On the glen, the snow lies deep,
as once it lay those years ago,
the night it witnessed traitors creep
on sleeping Invercoe.
Great MacIain ope'd his doors
to Campbells shiv'ring in the night.
He had grown tired of English wars
and looked not for a fight.
Sleep, you brave, you innocent,
you warriors and women strong.

Screams of children drowned the storm
when Campbell blades came slicing down
on bloody tartan, rent and torn,

We, the petty,
we, the bourgeois,
poring over mirrors of reflected, collected verse,
only we could drown
in the shallow pools of our own desires.
Self-worth and efficacy distort, distend,
dilate.
Our longing sighs inflate
gauzy bladders, diaphanous,
and we fancy them substantial because they are large -
(We say much the same of our philanthropy.)

though "bloated" comes to mind.
A pseudonym can shelter
the sodden intellect, emaciated,
denigrated by false modesties.
How quaint.
How deep, the brainy poet
who breathes his own despite

"But she is..."
"No! don't you understand that she doesn't want you anymore!?"
"Mom!!!"
the little boy broke free of the nun's grasp and ran after the car his "mother" was in.
"Wait for me!"
The boy ran as fast as he could for the car, but he was tao slow and the car vanished in the fog of london.
"Moooom!!!"

Chapter 3: Encounter
Delta stared up at three people, a man, and two girls.
"What are you doing in our garage nacked!?" the man yelled at Delta.
"Nacked? what do you mean by nacked?"
"Get out before I call the police!" the man yelled again at Delta.
"Police?" Delta only knew a little about the outside world.
"OUT!"
The man opened a cabinet in the garage and pulled out a strange object.
"GET OUT!"
the man aimed the strange object at Delta and pulled a trigger attached to it.
BOOM.
"OW! why did you do that?"
Delta looked at his arm and pulled the object that hit him out.
"What is this?"

Chapter one: change
Warm summer days brought a smile to Jessica's face.
School was out
Self defeating and unforgiving
A style so precise; perfected
Destructive dreams and broken hearts
My own thoughts tear me apart.
Like the ice that leaks from winter mouths;
I fade in the night from social eyes.
The words "I belong" are never heard
With a broken soul I know;
it was all my own.
A razor sits in a pool of scarlet
A pen in my hand; a pride departed,
Across the pages I tried to write
I got to No Where and that's where I reside.
